For about a year, I’ve owned the Amazon Kindle reader.  I’ll have to admit what really intrigued me was the “free” 3G access and being able to access the Internet in at least a limited capacity from virtually anywhere on the AT&T network.  Though I’ve never really been a book reader, this device has at least lead down the road to becoming more of a reader. Typically when I’d start a traditional book I’d carry it with me in my backpack.  If  anything else at all caught my attention then the book would be ignored for days or weeks.  As time passed it would work its way lower and lower into my pack eventually becoming a wrinkled and torn mess that would be just to embarrassing or unappealing to be read in public.
